UCLA VC Fund in the News

UCLA VC Fund investment committee member and tech entrepreneur, Wilton Risenhoover was recently featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal. In an article published on Friday, July 15, Risenhoover provides expert commentary on the impressive financial backing of West Hollywood startup Homee by LA tech entrepreneurs such as Tinder’s Co-Founder, Sean Rad and Electus Founder and CEO, Ben Silverman. According to Risenhoover, what prompts these seasoned investors is not just  the rising talent and potential of the city's up-and-coming tech startups but the opportunity for mentorship in its niche markets: “People try to invest where they feel they can make a difference...If they know an industry well, they want to invest where they can help that company.”
