The "Cashless" Model
The UCLA Venture Capital Fund offers a dynamic way for venture capatilists and entrepreneurs to make pledges of stock in start-up companies before they go public. If the donated shares eventually benefit from a liquidity event (merger or IPO), the institution gets the windfall and the donor receives a substantial tax deduction. This “cashless” form of support creates a philanthropic partnership between UCLA and its entrepreneurial backers.
Traditional Giving
You may also support the UCLA Venture Capital Fund from a broad range of other gift opportunities including: cash, common stock, bequests, or even gifts of real estate.
